Job summary

Washington Mills in North Grafton, MA is seeking a Material Handler – Utility Worker to support production by delivering materials, removing finished goods, and keeping work areas organized. This is a full-time, hourly 2nd shift role (Mon–Thu 3 pm–1 am with occasional Fridays).

The ideal candidate will lift up to 50 pounds, read production instructions, operate basic warehouse equipment, and work safely with the production team to minimize interruptions and ensure smooth material flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read production instructions and labels.
• English required (Spanish is a plus).
• Work independently while communicating well within a team.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling preferred.
• Lift at least 50 pounds and stand/walk up to 10 hours.
• Forklift operation knowledge or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials and supplies to production lines.
• Monitor inventory and replenish materials before stock runs out.
• Move finished products and waste materials to designated areas.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when authorized.
• Maintain 5S and clean, organized work areas.
• Report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Follow production schedules and safety procedures.
