Job summary

Specialty Building Products, including Amerhart operations, is hiring for 2nd shift Material Handlers at the Jackson, MI facility. The role focuses on shipping, receiving and stocking materials within a safety-conscious Operations team.

Starting pay is $20/hour with benefits after 30 days. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and 1–2 years forklift experience, with teamwork and safety-mindedness emphasized throughout the description.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years of forklift experience; distributorship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and replenish designated warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Report shortages or damaged material to sales and adjust as directed.
• Use handheld scanner for receiving, picking, loading and cycle counting per WMS.
• Collaborate with WMS Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
• Ensure safe weight distribution on trucks and follow safety procedures.
