Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Lancaster, PA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to restore equipment operation.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, maintain records, and support safety procedures in line with OSHA guidelines. The ideal candidate has tech/trade school certification, strong safety awareness, and hands-on experience with PLC

Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary certification from a tech or trade school.
• Must have high safety awareness and follow procedures.
• Proven experience in electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls, NCs, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
• Plans and performs work with knowledge of electrical codes, materials, and operation of electronic equipment.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA rules.
• Advises operators and line mechanics on safe operation procedures.
• Informs management and line mechanics of potential problems and hazards.
• Maintains maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance as directed.
• Assists and trains other maintenance and technical staff.
• Performs other duties as required.
