We are looking for a dynamic and experienced 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations and will oversee our second shift team, ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing processes. If you have a strong background in Conventional Machining, CNC mill, CNC lathe, and have experience in the Aerospace industry with a focus on AS9100 and tight tolerance, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the second shift manufacturing team.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes are carried out in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards (AS9100).
- Operate and maintain CNC machines, including CNC mill and CNC lathe.
- Oversee conventional machining operations, ensuring high-quality output and tight tolerances.
- Ensure a high level of efficiency and productivity within the team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Train and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Liaise with other departmental managers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations across all shifts.
- Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the second shift.
- Prepare and present performance reports to upper management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Conventional Machining, CNC mill, and CNC lathe.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and experience in the Aerospace industry.
- Proven experience in managing tight tolerance in manufacturing processes.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proven track record of improving efficiency and productivity within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
- High level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
