Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor in New Berlin, WI. You will supervise, coach, and develop teams, driving accountability and collaboration while targeting safe, efficient production.

You will lead continuous improvement efforts, read blueprints, and manage performance reviews. A hands-on leader with the ability to navigate diverse personnel is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving settings.
• Strong background in continuous improvement, lean and 5S principles.
• Ability to navigate personalities, drive accountability and promote open communication.
• Supervisory experience coaching and motivating a diverse team.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate 2nd shift manufacturing activities to meet goals safely.
• Train, cross-train, coach and develop team members.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through lean and 5S.
• Serve as backup for team leads and communicate department goals.
• Resolve employee issues through problem resolution and engage managers as needed.
• Address real-time production challenges and drive improvement.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine processes.
• Conduct performance reviews for the 2nd shift production team.
