Job summary

Bsdbusinessconsulting in Ripon, WI seeks an Assembly Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a high‑performing manufacturing team. You will coordinate daily production activities, coach hourly staff, and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards on a fast-paced line.

The ideal candidate brings 1–3+ years supervising production in a high-volume environment, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of Lean methods (5S, Kaizen, Kanban).

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years in a medium- or high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous production/supervision experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor, and motivate hourly production employees.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, process control, scheduling) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities within an assigned manufacturing area or zone.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop production team members.
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Train employees on safety practices, quality standards, equipment operation, and 5S principles.
• Monitor production performance and help ensure scheduled requirements are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, workflow, and efficiency.
• Promote continuous improvement and lean initiatives, including waste reduction and inventory work‑in‑progress improvements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and performance issues.
• Work with union representatives on contract, disciplinary, and related matters as needed.
