Job summary

Siemens in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily production and act as the information hub between hourly assembly and Management, Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing and Planning. The base shift is 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, with 20–30 direct reports.

You will drive safety, quality and productivity improvements, manage line constraints, train personnel, and conduct annual reviews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervision experience in assembly/manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience.
• Data collection and analysis; interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety for all personnel on production lines.
• Drive initiatives to reduce production errors, improve quality and productivity.
• Adhere to production schedule, assign personnel, monitor progress, report results.
• Plan and document training of personnel; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate with purchasing, planning and warehouse to ensure material availability.
