Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. You will lead the hourly workforce, drive safety and quality, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Purchasing to meet production goals.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisor experience in manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, and strong data-analysis and leadership skills. Union-friendly shift runs 2:00 pm–10:00 pm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing or related field in a supervisor role.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools.
• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
• Able to interpret or learn to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong leadership and time management experience.
• Experience collaborating with different internal organizations and locations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety for all personnel on production lines.
• Drive initiatives to reduce production errors, improve quality and productivity.
• Adhere to production schedule, assign personnel, monitor progress, resolve line constraints, report results.
• Plan, oversee and document training of personnel.
• Conduct annual employee performance reviews.
• Work with purchasing, planning and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
• Liaise between Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Support performance measurement and documentation of processes.
• Support digitalization efforts like Digital Work Instructions and dashboards.
