Qualifications

• Average math skills and ability to read and comprehend English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activity for 2nd shift and support flow across machining and shop operations.
• Prioritize jobs and keep work on track for completion.
• Communicate priorities to operators and coordinate shift activities.
• Collaborate with the 2nd Shift Supervisor to align production needs and address issues.
• Monitor progress and communicate delays, equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns.
• Support operators with day-to-day questions and troubleshooting.
• Maintain smooth flow across CNC lathes, mills, saws, burn table, and secondary operations.
• Perform inspections and measurements to verify tolerances and quality using calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Step into production work as needed to keep orders moving.
• Provide shift handoff support and maintain continuity between shifts.
• Adhere to safety protocols, wear PPE, and use crane/buddy system for large parts.
• Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
