Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Senior Electrician for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00PM-11:30PM) in Franklin, MA. You will perform electrical maintenance on plant utility and process infrastructure, reading schematics, and using SAP for records.

A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered to external candidates. Qualified candidates have 4–6 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, a journeyman license or higher, and the ability to work off-hours/weekends as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade/technical school in related discipline preferred.
• 4 to 6 years electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience.
• Electrician journeyman license or other location specific electrician license; master electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment and systems; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed drives.
• Work on electrical equipment including Frequency Drives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.
• Safely work with multi-phase, high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control networks, instrumentation, PLC devices, HMI, VFD, servo, and control problems.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors.
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency.
• Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.
