Job summary

Signode Industrial Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, efficient production and maintenance across equipment and facilities at our Greer, SC site.

The role requires 1–3 years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical knowledge, PLC/drives familiarity, and MIG/ARC welding experience. Forklift certification is needed; shift is Mon-Thu with a $0.75 differential and training on first shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED preferred but not required. Certifications preferred but not required
• 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
• Must have a good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues
• Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred
• Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder
• Forklift experience is required, training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner
• Perform duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment
• Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system
• Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time
• Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies
• Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers
• Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing
• Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager
• Other related duties as assigned
