Maple Leaf Foods Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at our Indianapolis facility. You will perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, read schematics, and coordinate with contractors to ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities include supporting boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and water treatment, performing welds, and completing documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, wiring, and control circuits.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and perform physical maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Diagnose electrical issues involving industrial equipment, control circuits, sensors, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment.
• Support facility utility systems, including boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment equipment, coordinating with specialized contractors as needed.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders, parts requests, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to off-shift emergencies or overtime needs as required.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and outside contractors to improve equipment reliability.
• Follow OSHA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety standards.
