Job summary

The Hershey Company in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain all site equipment and support continuous production. You will work under the Maintenance Manager, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot production equipment, and complete scheduled work orders.

The role requires experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read manuals/blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
• Proficiency with hand/power tools
• Ability to read instruction manuals and blueprints
• Preferred experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• 2-year associate degree in electromechanical systems preferred
• Robotics and control experience a plus
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Must have valid work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production machinery, both minor and major
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, test and adjust equipment
• Supervise outside contractors when needed
• Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime
• Carry out preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with safety rules
• Handle tools and store them properly
• Follow OSHA and GMP requirements
• Be self-motivated and work independently as needed
• Represent Hershey professionally with colleagues and customers
• Attend meetings and training sessions
• Support company policies and procedures
• Interact professionally with staff and management
• Pursue internal training to advance knowledge and skills
• Contribute to teamwork and customer service excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
