Permobil, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Skilled Technician for the 2nd Shift in Belleville, IL. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, machinery operation, and equipment repairs to ensure production efficiency.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and PLC/HMI familiarity are valued as you support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Eligible candidates bring an Associate degree or 3–5 years of related experience, forklift/man lift operation, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 3–5 years related experience
• Forklift, man lift, valid driver's license
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; PLC and HMI skills helpful; problem solving skills
• Manual dexterity to handle items and read measurements
• Ability to interpret safety and maintenance documents and communicate effectively
• Strong PC skills and proficiency in standard software
• Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment; strong problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on ROHO equipment and repair as needed
• Ensure proper operation of machinery and electrical systems; repair and maintain equipment
• Maintain equipment database with records of work and failures
• Install functional parts and adjust devices and control instruments
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
• Strive for low error rates and high performance metrics
• Support cross-functional collaboration and ownership in projects
• Pursue ongoing technical knowledge through workshops and seminars
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency
