Job summary

Permobil, Inc. in Belleville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Skilled Technician for 2nd shift to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.

This full-time role includes a 2nd shift schedule Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:30pm, with overtime as needed, and a pay range of $28.00-$32.00 per hour. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair machinery, manage equipment records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift; man lift; valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle items and read/draw from technical instructions.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment; repairs electrical equipment.
• Manage equipment database; maintain written records and log work.
• Adjusts parts of devices and control instruments; install parts on devices.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment; follow safety policies.
• Maintain quality service by minimizing errors and meeting performance metrics.
• Contribute to team effort; maintain attendance and achieve results.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops and conferences.
