Job summary

Permobil, Inc. in Belleville is seeking a Maintenance Skilled Technician for an evening shift (11:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu). The role is full-time with overtime eligibility, and pay ranges from $28.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

The position requires an Associate degree or 3–5 years related experience, plus strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift; man lift; valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance, inspecting and repairing equipment, and assisting with special projects.
• Ensures operation of machinery by observing equipment, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyors, production machines, and testing with instrumentation.
• Manages equipment database by maintaining written records and logging work and failures to establish predictive maintenance.
• Adjusts parts of devices by installing functional and structural parts on equipment.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by operating machinery safely and reporting hazards.
• Maintains quality service by keeping error rates low, maintaining pace, and meeting performance metrics.
