Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. is seeking a Leader, Equipment Maintenance (Front Line Supervisor) in Grand Prairie, TX, to oversee a team of maintenance technicians on the 2nd shift. You will coordinate with planners, supervise preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality across the plant.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance and strong leadership and communication skills. Expect collaboration with multiple departments and adherence to OSHA standards in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or front-line leader in a manufacturing environment required.
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and procedures, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to supervise and execute all maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
• Coordinate with other departments, including production, quality, equipment, process, and industrial engineering, to ensure that maintenance activities do not interfere with production schedules.
• Monitor and track maintenance activities, including work orders, parts orders, and equipment performance data, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Identify and prioritize maintenance needs, and work with management to develop and implement a budget for maintenance activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed to ensure that all team members are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect/audit work in progress and upon completion, focusing on safety and quality of work.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and increase overall efficiency.
