Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our full-time team on a 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule in Kentucky. You will lead maintenance activities, provide technical guidance, and ensure safe, reliable upkeep of production equipment, with a focus on minimizing downtime and supporting continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience mentoring or leading maintenance personnel preferred.
• Trade school certification/degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Welding and fabrication experience/certification preferred.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, and related equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
• Provide day-to-day direction and mentorship to maintenance technicians.
• Assign and prioritize work based on skills, workload, and priorities.
• Lead during assigned shifts and troubleshoot complex systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Analyze equipment failures and coordinate repairs while adhering to EHS requirements.
• Support plant shutdowns, installations, and process improvements for safety and reliability.
• Maintain equipment history and work orders in the CMMS; document thoroughly.
