Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school completion.
• Five years of skilled maintenance experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated leadership of maintenance and custodial staff in a manufacturing plant.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprints/drawings.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to employees and contractors to meet production requirements.
• Requisitions materials, tools, and supplies needed for a job.
• Evaluates the need for outside contractors and obtains quotes.
• Administrates employee time recording and vacations or time off.
• Manages work orders, parts inventory and preventive maintenance in the CMMS.
• Records and evaluates preventive maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Schedules reactive maintenance/repair using the CMMS.
• Trains employees on maintenance activities and tasks.
• Communicates policies and procedures to employees, the company and customers.
• Assists mechanics and electricians in troubleshooting complex maintenance problems.
• Enforces discipline per the CBA and ensures safe work practices.
• Conducts daily safety audits using safety software.
• Responds to employee complaints and completes logs/reports.
• Supports Cross Functional Teams (CFT) as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
