Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance & Refrigeration technician for a 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday) at our Portland, ME facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and pay is commensurate with experience. Eligible candidates will have at least 6 months of hands-on experience in mechanical areas and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience or 6 months of formal training in at least two mechanical areas.
• Able to inspect equipment and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and alters defective equipment.
• Provides maintenance on complex production equipment.
• Controls inventory and requisitioning of parts.
• Performs maintenance checks on buildings and equipment.
• Maintains electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
