Job summary

MaineGuide in Portland, ME is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for the second shift (2pm to 10pm). The role involves cleaning, light maintenance, safe operation of equipment, and customer interface.

Previous maintenance experience preferred but not required. Worker must be able to perform with minimal supervision and maintain a neat uniform. A signing bonus is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance preferred but not required.
• Must be able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks per checklists to remove dirt, dust, litter and debris.
• Walk garage daily to identify maintenance problems and take corrective action.
• Sweep and clean entrances, exits, rails, offices and rest rooms.
• Replace burned out bulbs and manage light maintenance.
• Apply oil absorbent to oil spills and report repairs as needed.
• Check safety items and ticketing/gate equipment for proper operation.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and sweep sheets.
