Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the 2nd shift in the United States (TN).

The candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of refrigeration work experience or related education and be able to work well with team members at all levels. Responsibilities include repairs and preventative maintenance of refrigeration equipment, reading schematics/P&IDs, and participating in maintenance testing across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months refrigeration work experience and/or education documented in the application.
• Must demonstrate ability to work and communicate well with team members at all levels.
• Must participate in maintenance testing in several areas: Maintenance Fundamentals, Welding, Refrigeration, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Boiler Control, Machine Tool Practices, Electrical Systems, Electronics, Robotics, Plumbing, Power Transmissions, and Mechanical Skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance of all refrigeration equipment.
• Assist in all repairs to the refrigeration system.
• Must be able to read schematics/P&IDs and follow safety and hygiene policies.
• Contribute to tests and maintenance tasks across multiple mechanical systems.
• Work in cold and wet environments and on a 2nd shift schedule.
• Possess good math skills and read/write capabilities; pass respirator and HAZMAT requirements.
