Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Rumford, RI facility is seeking a Maintenance Electrician on the 2nd shift (core hours 3 pm to 11 pm). This role covers installation, repair and preventive maintenance of a wide range of electrical equipment and wiring.

Duties include diagnosing faults to minimize downtime, wiring motors for machine tools, updating wiring diagrams, and coordinating with other electricians. A RI license and valid driver's license are required; ITAR eligibility applies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Rhode Island Electrician Journeyman’s or Master’s License.
Valid and current Driver’s License.
OSHA Forklift License within 3 months of hire date.
ITAR eligibility: U.S. person as defined by ITAR.
No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Rumford, RI preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, layout, and perform installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and wiring.
Diagnose and remedy issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Install and wire motors for machine tools and start/controls.
Establish and balance loads, lubricate panel boards, and maintain wiring programs.
Prepare wiring diagrams and update drawings as required.
