Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Repair Station Technician on the 2nd shift in Rumford, RI. Core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm, with training on 1st shift hours for 2–3 weeks. The role involves setup and operation of multiple presses and equipment, inspection of assemblies, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The Rumford facility is unionized and has a 60-day probation period with union dues after probation. DOT/FAA regulatory considerations apply and random drug testing is ongoing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
• ITAR compliance and U.S. person status required.
• No relocation benefit; within 50 miles of work location.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate drilling presses, presses, degreaser, grinders, and other tools per fixtures and instructions.
• Test assemblies for leakage using fixtures and test setups.
• Read prints and process sheets to produce parts meeting quality/quantity goals.
• Assemble and test seal assemblies with close tolerances; perform cleaning, deburring, and marking of parts.
• Set up ovens and perform lapping/polishing and bonding as required.
• Operate measuring devices and verify own work before supervisor approval.
