Job summary

Volt is immediately hiring a CNC Machinist lv for a local leading manufacturing company in Miramar, CA. The ideal candidate will set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines, adjust Haas and Fanuc controls, and use precision measuring tools to ensure part quality.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years' experience with CNC mills, familiarity with Mastercam/SolidWorks, and solid knowledge of Haas/Fanuc controls and G&M codes.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school education or equivalent (GED).
• Requires a minimum of 3-years of experience with vertical and horizonal CNC Mill machines.
• Familiar with and moderate knowledge of Mastercam / Solid works; solid understanding of machine controls using Haas / Fanuc CNC equipment; knowledge in G & M CNC codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines.
• Adjust Haas and Fanuc CNC controls as needed (Moderate Understanding).
• Uses precision measuring tools accurately, including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and similar instruments.
• Identifies minor machine issues and reports them as needed.
• Performs routine checks to ensure tools, fixtures, and equipment are functioning properly.
• Regularly lifts or moves up to 50 lbs and performs physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Follows standard operating procedures and drawing specifications with minimal supervision.
• Looks for ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through routine checks and testing.
• Shows willingness to learn machine setup processes.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Ability to learn and understand process requirements and possess skills to troubleshoot, react, and correct failures in the process due to unplanned situations


• Skills in communication, both verbal and written to optimally connect with different teams, provide training, and diagnosis/resolve production issues

Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:15pm to 10:45pm

Pay Rate: $26.25 to 30.25/hr plus overtime as needed.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
