Volt in Monroe, NC is hiring for a Machinist on a full-time temp-to-hire basis. Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience operating CNC Lathe or CNC Mill.
• Knowledge of program codes and ability to perform simple program edits.
• Knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Able to read blueprints, manuals, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories used in production.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work changing schedules including overtime.
• Team environment collaboration and reliability.
• Passing a practical exam.

Weekly Pay Climate Controlled

As a Machinist you will:

• Operate a vary of production machines.
• Perform setups with assistance.
• Load and unload parts.
• Deburring parts.
• Changing tool offsets.
• Verifying Part dimensions.
• Detect out of tolerance situations and making simple adjustments.
• Detect any machine malfunctions.
• Perform appropriate Preventative Maintenance and Pre-operational checks.
• Maintain work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to 5s practices.
• Perform all duties assigned by supervisor.

This is a Full time temp to hire 12 month contract opportunity.

The ideal Machinist candidate will have:

• 1-2 years' experience at operating CNC Lathe, or CNC Mill.
• Knowledge of program codes and ability to perform simple program edits.
• Knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of Cutting tools, Fixtures, and other accessories used in production.
• Ability to follow Written and Oral instructions.
• Ability to work changing work schedules including overtime.
• Ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
• Passing Practical exam.

Pay Rate: $25-$27.00/hour.

Shifts Available:

• Monday - Friday 2nd shift 4pm - 12am.
• 3rd shift 12am - 8am.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
