Job summary

Woodward in Loves Park, IL is seeking an Operations Technician for the 2nd shift (M-Th 3:24pm-1:54am) to support machine operations. Training during weeks 1-2 and potential shift adjustments during week 3 are part of onboarding.

Candidates should have machining experience and be ready to contribute to a highly regulated, safety-conscious environment. The role emphasizes precision, adherence to 5S, quality control, and collaboration across teams to meet production goals and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Level I: Basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.)
• 2+ years of machining experience
• Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints

Responsibilities

• Machine operation: Set up and operate multiple CNC or Manual machines to produce precision parts
• Performs supporting operations following established procedures
• Performs 1st piece inspections and may train in these processes
• Follows work instructions and interprets engineering blueprints and GD&T
