Job summary

Woodward, Inc. in Loves Park, IL is seeking experienced VMC machinists for Level II/III paths on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 3:24pm-1:54am).

You will set up and operate CNC or manual machines to produce precision parts per drawings and SOPs, with growth into Level III responsibilities. Qualifications

• Setup and operate CNC or manual machines (lathes/mills/Swiss/grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure conformance.
• Perform 1st piece inspections and support inspection processes.
• Follow 5S standards and lean practices on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Machine setup and operation of CNC or manual equipment.
• Follow detailed work instructions to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts with gauges and document data per SOP.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on the production floor.
• Promote safety and contribute to continuous improvement.
