Business Communication Solutions (BCS) in Waunakee, WI is seeking an Inserter Operator for the 2nd shift to operate and maintain inserter machines, ensuring quality and timely production.

You will document work orders, manage postage as needed, and help keep a clean, safe work area while supporting the production team.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain inserter machines. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor mail processing for quality, ensuring all items meet company and customer standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Complete work orders accurately and maintain proper documentation for billing, postage, and job tracking.
• Postage Management: Ensure postage meters are properly loaded and notify the supervisor of low postage levels.
• Material Handling: Verify that the correct materials are used, properly stored, and ready for the next job.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards and assisting with housekeeping tasks.
• Efficiency & Performance: Operate inserter machines efficiently, ensuring high throughput and meeting production targets. Report any issues or delays to the supervisor.
• Process Improvement: Suggest and contribute to improvements in operational processes that enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Additional Duties: Assist with hand inserting, manual sorting, or other production activities as needed.

Job Title: Inserter Operator – 2nd Shift

This is a full-time position and the hours are 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Monday – Friday (occasional weekends required)

Initial Training will be on first shift (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) with flexible options available

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Overview: The Inserter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining inserter machines used in the processing of customer mailings. This role involves ensuring high-quality standards, efficient machine operation, and accurate documentation. The Inserter Operator plays a key role in supporting the production team and must maintain a clean and organized work environment. Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues are essential for ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
