Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. in Illinois is hiring a QC Supervisor to lead laboratory QA for the facility, oversee the 2nd shift QC team, and manage lab operations across multiple shifts.

You will drive continuous improvement by leading investigations, training, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, planning, safety and production. The role requires expertise in GMPs, HACCP, and food safety systems, as well as hands-on testing of raw materials to finished products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science/Technology or related field (and/or business degree).
• Experience with HACCP, FSP, ISO 22000, SQF, BRC or equivalent GFSI criteria.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead robust root cause analysis and investigations of deviations and customer complaints.
• Oversee 2nd shift QC team and lab operations across multiple shifts.
• Train, implement and maintain quality programs and Food Safety systems.
• Manage daily lab coverage and scheduling to meet internal/external demands.
• Lead SOP development, calibration, and validation with QC team and cross-functional partners.
