Job summary

Aerotek in Mesa, AZ is seeking a 2nd Assembler to join a fast-growing manufacturing leader. You will perform advanced assembly, read drawings, mentor junior assemblers, and work with engineering to boost efficiency and quality.

This contract-to-hire role offers a 2nd shift, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM, with a 10% shift differential, onsite climate-controlled facility, competitive pay of $22.00 to $25.30 per hour, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and production issues.
• Leadership mindset with ability to mentor team members.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Train, coach, and support junior assemblers on assembly techniques, safety, and quality procedures.
• Conduct final inspections and testing to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineers to identify solutions.
• Monitor inventory levels of assembly materials and components.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
• Support production goals while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
