Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation in Sumner, WA is hiring for a Laminator I on the 2nd shift. The role involves laminating composite components per drawings and SWI, with a 3:30 pm to 2:00 am schedule, Monday through Thursday.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires adherence to timelines and quality standards. Preferred candidates have at least one year of manufacturing experience; experience in composite manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in composite manufacturing a plus.
• Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps.
• Basic understanding of process specifications.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
• Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
• Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
• Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
• Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.
