Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking an IT Field Services Technician - Intermediate for the 2nd shift to support the Hyde Park campus in Chicago, IL. You will manage Windows and Macintosh workstations, software distribution, and peripherals, delivering timely ticket resolution and maintaining asset records.

You will collaborate with IS teams, mentor junior staff, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable services across the healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related technical area or technical training/experience equivalent.
• Minimum three years' experience providing support of customer trouble tickets and troubleshooting PC hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Manage tickets for Windows and Macintosh software and hardware.
• Ensure timely resolution and SLAs.
• Use remote tools to resolve issues and perform site visits for hardware/software updates.
• Document root causes and resolutions for knowledge base.
• Maintain asset records in management systems.
• Collaborate with IS teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff.
• Participate in on-call pager rotation.
