Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alabama is looking for a team member to evaluate product quality while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The role involves monitoring processing equipment on the line, reporting any mechanical issues, and removing diseased or contaminated birds and parts. You will trim disease and contamination as needed and support rework to ensure product integrity on the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use scissors or knives.
• Standing 100% on shift.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs.
• 100% use of hands, arms, feet and back.
• Must be able to use knife and/or scissors.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of the product while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Monitor machines as needed and notify Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns.
• Recognize, remove, and discard diseased birds and/or viscera packages, removal of parts due to disease and contamination, removing birds from the line for reprocessing due to defects.
• Trim disease and contamination from the product as necessary.
