Job summary

Omega Plastics Inc. is seeking a Process Technician for the 2nd shift to own mold changes, startup, and first article approval. You will set up injection molding machines, prepare dies, and ensure quality during high-volume production in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with mold changes, equipment setup, and process troubleshooting. You will train operators, document activities, and collaborate with quality and project teams to deliver consistent parts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in plastic injection molding, process technician or setup role.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with mold changes, start-ups, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes and quality.
• Ability to train operators and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Read instructions and understand mold function, including hydraulics.
• Set barrel heats and purge IMM before changes.
• Clean mold surfaces and install/remove molds per procedures.
• Install all mold-change connections and verify signals.
• Perform mold changes, start-ups, and process troubleshooting.
• Assist first article inspections with basic measurement tools.
• Train operators and coordinate with teams.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and proper documentation.
