Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for the 2nd shift at our Wisconsin facility. You will monitor, troubleshoot, repair and maintain refrigeration, steam, compressed air, water systems and related equipment, using proper tools and test equipment.

You will complete utilities maintenance, document activities, install equipment, follow GMP and SQF requirements, and be ready for overtime, weekend work and on-demand emergency tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed; adherence to GMP and SQF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete all utilities maintenance.
• Perform all necessary documentation of activities.
• Install equipment on all utility systems.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Keep all work areas clean.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions.
