Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment across the plant in Elkhart, Indiana. You will work 2nd shift, 1:00pm to 9:30pm, and earn a $0.75 per hour shift premium while supporting production goals.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairing machines, identifying failure causes, ordering parts, assisting electrical and plumbing tasks, maintaining HVAC/building systems, and

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year as a mechanic in manufacturing/distribution.
Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Order and install replacement parts for machines.
Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer.
Maintain documentation as required.
Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Maintain technical knowledge through training.
