Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC in Westminster, MD is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm–11:00pm) at the Westminster Operations Center. This role focuses on industrial maintenance of automated conveyors, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in a 1.5 million sq ft facility that ships millions of books annually.

The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, and support a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
• Electrical and/or mechanical trades experience is helpful.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry or welding is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and physically capable of heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote safety policies across the site.
• Perform maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance via the CMMS.
• Troubleshoot conveyors and key equipment; PLC knowledge is beneficial.
• Maintain facilities including plumbing, fire systems, HVAC, and related systems.
• Grow through training and certification programs.
• Carry out all other assigned duties.
