Job summary

Penguin Random House, LLC in Westminster, MD is seeking an Industrial Mechanic for the 2nd shift. The role supports a heavily automated facility handling millions of books annually, with safety and CMMS-driven maintenance as core responsibilities.

The candidate should have prior facilities maintenance exposure and skills in electrical and/or mechanical trades; PLC knowledge is a plus. 18+ years old with basic PC skills and ability to lift heavy objects are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facility maintenance is desired but not required.
• Proven skills relating to electrical and/or mechanical trades are helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years old with basic PC skills and able to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to, maintain and promote the safety policies of the company.
• Perform maintenance duties such as work orders, preventative maintenance and other CMMS tasks.
• Understand conveyor management systems and other equipment; PLC knowledge is desired but not required.
• Grow through training and certification programs.
• All other duties assigned.
