Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Westminster, MD operations center. The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, onsite, at a large, highly automated facility that ships millions of books annually.

The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and CMMS-driven work orders, with PLC knowledge welcome. Growth through training and certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facility maintenance is desired but not required.
• Proven skills relating to electrical and/or mechanical trades are helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform heavy lifting.
• Basic PC skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Adhering, maintaining and promoting the safety polices of the company.
• Perform all maintenance duties such as work orders, preventative maintenance and other projects assigned via the CMMS system.
• Basic understanding of conveyor management system and other key equipment systems for troubleshooting. PLC knowledge is desired but not required.
• Desire to grow through training and certification programs.
• All other duties assigned.
