Armstrong World Industries is seeking a 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Tech at our Newark, OH facility. You will provide electrical/mechanical maintenance, perform preventive and predictive work, and support Lean initiatives to improve plant reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
• High level experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Welding, machining and fabrication skills.
• Experience with conveyors and mechanical drive systems, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to perform precision alignments using lasers or dial indicators.
• Must lift at least 50 pounds and work in challenging environments.
• Ability to read/write English and use hand tools; basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and physical after offer.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and wear PPE; observe lockout/tagout.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose issues, replace worn parts and reassemble equipment.
• Report faulty conditions to supervision; operate company vehicles as needed.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, paint equipment, gas dryers, saws and pumps.
• Maintain tools; participate in Lean manufacturing teams; support plant reliability.
• Conduct daily safety risk assessments and work 3pm–11pm.
