Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician for our Marietta, PA plant. The role focuses on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, calibrate instrumentation and support small projects to improve reliability. Strong NEC/NFPA70E knowledge and journeyman certification are preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least six (6) years of relevant electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and safety codes expected.
Journeyman certification in electrical trade highly desired.
Experience using SAP or similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

Install conduit and wiring, motors, instrumentation, recording devices, starters and temporary wiring setups.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical devices and equipment (conveyors, chart recorders, labeling equipment, servo motors).
Diagnose electrical problems and take corrective action.
Maintain and repair plant instrumentation.
Use precision instruments (volt/amp meters, megger, wattmeter).
Complete records and inventory of supplies; maintain tools; support small project design.
May initiate, lead and design small projects as directed.
Perform other duties to improve plant reliability.
