Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring a Maintenance Generalist for the Sedalia Plant on the 2nd shift. The role includes training to perform preventative maintenance, rebuilding equipment, and handling repairs during production.

Candidates learn the CMMS, communicate with the right personnel, and may rotate shifts while following safety rules. Internal candidates are prioritized; prior industrial maintenance/electrical knowledge and hydraulics/pneumatics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled/completed automotive/mechanical degree or training.
• Must be able to learn troubleshooting skills and use the computerized maintenance program.
• Must pass required levels in the Training Program within the allotted time frame.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Rebuild equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Perform facility repairs, machine adjustments during production, and repair equipment as needed.
• Learn to operate the CMMS and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Be prepared for shift or department rotation and comply with safety regulations.
