Job summary

Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo is seeking a Healthcare Security Shift Supervisor for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). The role oversees security officers, assigns tasks, and assesses performance to ensure safety across the hospital campus.

The supervisor will liaise with local law enforcement, manage security technology, and lead training to maintain high security standards, while supporting patient and staff safety at Bronson Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. College Degree in related field preferred.
• 10 years security industry experience.
• 5 years hospital security/supervision experience preferred.
• Strong customer service focus and experience.
• De-escalation certifications IAHSS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, assign, and assess shift personnel and ensure policies are followed.
• Coordinate daily schedules and conduct briefings for security operations.
• Evaluate staffing and equipment needs for operational readiness.
• Lead in emergencies and coordinate with leadership for responses.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of new security staff and conduct evaluations.
• Monitor training progress and update training programs as needed.
• Conduct regular field rounds and promote teamwork and communication.
