Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor on the second shift at Kalamazoo's Bronson Methodist Hospital South Campus. You will supervise inpatient pharmacy technicians and service clerks, ensure narcotic accountability, and lead onboarding and ongoing staff development.

You will participate in leadership meetings, drive process improvements, and help manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and compliance with regulatory standards within the central pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with math/algebra.
• Licensed as a Michigan Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB/CPhT certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Pharmacy terminology course is preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy technician experience for leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inpatient pharmacy technicians and service clerks.
• Oversee narcotic tracking and accountability.
• Lead new hire orientation and ongoing staff training.
• Coordinate cross-training and staff development.
• Participate in leadership meetings and process improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate staff performance and manage disciplinary actions when needed.
• Create and manage technician schedules; approve PTO.
• Generate and review departmental reports.
• Align operations with Bronson Plan for Excellence.
