Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. in Corbin, KY is seeking a Security Officer (PRN, 2nd Shift) to protect people and property across the hospital campus. You will patrol, monitor CCTV, enforce policies, assist with emergencies, and coordinate with clinical teams to maintain a safe environment.

No prior experience required; valid driver's license; BLS/IAHSS/Taser certifications expected within stated timelines. This role offers flexible hours and the chance to contribute to patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• No prior experience required.
• Security education preferred.
• Security, military, and/or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must obtain BLS, Aegis and Taser 7 certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain IAHSS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure environment through patrols, access control, monitoring and enforcement of security policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinate support when needed.
• Escort patients, visitors, staff, and crew; assist with helipad operations and customer service tasks.
• Conduct routine security inspections, identify hazards and take corrective action.
• Monitor CCTV and security equipment, document suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Investigate incidents, gather information, document findings and report to authorities.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports within hospital systems.
• Support emergency preparedness, life safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and training.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to promote safety.
