Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Operator for the 2nd shift in Henderson, CO. You will operate the filling process for high-pressure cylinders, perform pre-/post-fill inspections, and help maintain equipment and records to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documents.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Fill high-pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, and mixed gases) using compression/temperature methods.
• Assist with filling high pressure cylinders and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Operate and care for equipment used to pump or repackage gases into cylinders.
• Conduct pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Maintain cylinders and equipment, removing those needing repair from service.
• Inspect pumping apparatus and pressure gauges, ensuring accurate readings.
• Fill cylinders to the correct pressure or weight as required.
• Maintain accurate filling records and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers when needed.
• Collaborate with the team on inventory and general housekeeping.
