Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a PT Outbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling and accurate documentation.

You will weigh and dimension shipments, verify hazardous material paperwork when applicable, and use forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move cargo. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; background checks and drug tests are required. Pay ranges from $18.70 to $22.20 per hour; second shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred.
• Background check and drug/alcohol test will be required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and hand trucks.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect, and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for correct classification and handling.
• Review freight bills and manifests for special instructions and exceptions.
• Verify hazardous material information and placarding when required.
• Follow safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques.
