Job summary

Mueller Water Products seeks a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our new foundry in Decatur, IL. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and rebuilding of foundry equipment, along with building and grounds maintenance.

Requires 4 years of verifiable maintenance experience or equivalent schooling. The role involves reading blueprints, operating machine tools, welding, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret blueprints, layouts and diagrams (hydraulic/pneumatic).
• Experience with machine tools and welding/cutting operations.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
• Make repair parts as required.
• Perform acetylene or electric welding and cutting operations.
• Install, repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.
