Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. in Decatur, Illinois is hiring a 3rd shift Machine Repair technician. You will maintain and repair machine tools, conveyors, fixtures, and related equipment throughout the production process.

Responsibilities include setup of various machine tools, precision measurement, tool sharpening, preventive maintenance, and occasional welding or brazing. Training on 1st shift is required before or during shift changes, with overtime as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Four years of verifiable maintenance repair experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to train on 1st shift and work 3rd shift plus overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machine tools, conveyors, fixtures, chucks, and jigs.
• Setup and operate a variety of machine tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments as required.
• Sharpen tools and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Repair, troubleshoot, and perform hydraulic/pneumatic work.
• Fabricate and modify machines as needed.
• Requisition replacement parts and prepare sketches/blueprints.
• Containment and clean-up of hazardous materials.
• May weld, braze, and solder as part of duties.
